Report of the Trustees for the year 2004
This report on the activities of Green Aid is for the first year from the inception of the Charity, 1 September 2003, to 31 August 2004.
This year was used by the Trustees to establish the charity and its mode of operation and build up a sufficient reserve to enable the Charity to fulfil its objectives in the coming years.
Green Aid received a substantial initial donation from its founders, Colin and Hazel Green. Additional substantial contributions were received from:
- Amdocs
- Commil Ltd
- Digital Fuel Technologies Inc
And we are grateful to them for their support.
We also received a donation from CVIDYA Networks Ltd.
The principle fund raising activity is through the activities of our Chairman, Colin Green. Additionally in 2004 we held a small fundraising dinner at which we were supported by the following companies:
- RAD Data Communications Ltd
- Carmel VC Ltd
- Seed Management Associates Ltd
- Jerusalem Global Ventures Ltd
- Harbourvest Inc
During the year we have made one significant donation to the British Friends Israel War Disabled. We have also supported the following charitable institutions:
- United Jewish Israel Appeal
- The Mizrachi Charitable Trust
- Jewish Woman’s Week (WIZO)
- Walk The Walk Worldwide SCO
- Jewish Care
- Yehuran Victim Support Fund
- Bournemouth Hebrew Congregation
- Nightingale House
- Cancer Research UK
- City Escape
- Ravenswood/Norwood
- Community Security Trust
- Friends of Magen David Adom
Since the end of the Financial Year we have made some significant donations which will which will be reported on in next year’s report.
Green Aid also administered the Antithesis Charitable Trust. This fund distributed CDs recorded specially for it by the artiste “Antithesis” with all the net sale proceeds being
devoted to the objects of the Charity. To date, from the proceeds two donations each of £1000 each have been made to the United Jewish Israel Appeal and the International
Coalition for Missing Israeli Soldiers in the subsequent financial year.
